
About LMS:
The Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems & Automation (LMS) is oriented on research and development in cutting edge scientific and technological fields. LMS is involved in a number of research projects funded by the CEU and European industrial partners. Particular emphasis is given to the co-operation with the European industry as well as with a number of “hi-tech” firms. It is organized in three different groups: (1) Manufacturing Processes Modelling and Energy Efficiency, (2) Robots, Automation and Virtual Reality in Manufacturing and (3) Manufacturing Systems.
Role in project: LMS will coordinate the HERCULES project, being responsible for the progress assessment and communication between the consortium and EIT. From the technical aspect, LMS will lead the workspace monitoring and sensing systems task, implement the safety certified systems, and help GROBO on the integration process of the final demonstrators. |

About CASP:
CASP S.A. is a software and consulting company, based in Athens, Greece, working closely with European and local industry as well as with Universities and Technological institutes, on developing and marketing Business Solutions for a wide range of industrial problems. CASP S.A. develops and markets Business Solutions for ERP, Production Scheduling, Quality Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Virtual Reality Applications and Product and Process Design.
Role in project: CASP S.A. (CASP) is another technical partner. CASP will lead the use case definition and requirements extraction task. Moreover, they will lead the digital twins and hardware interface, with trajectory optimization methods, which will enable the seamless human robot collaboration, and create any interface needed during the integration process. |

About GIZELIS:
Gizelis Robotics is a notable Greek company specializing in the development and production of advanced robotic systems. Role in project: Gizelis Robotics (GIZELIS) is the business owner of this project. Apart from the definition of the commercial solution, which will be exploited by GROBO, they will lead the hardware selection process and the mechatronics design. Their experience in systems integration and testbeds enables them to be the leaders of the related tasks. |

About AVIO AERO:
Avio Aero is a GE Aviation business that designs, manufactures and maintains propulsion systems for civil and military aviation. It is the center of excellence for the entire General Electric group in the field of mechanical transmissions and low-pressure turbines. It employs more than 4,800 people at its headquarters at Rivalta di Torino, where its largest production plant is also located, and at its other major plants in Brindisi and Pomigliano d’Arco (Naples). Abroad, it has a plant and a test center in Poland.
Role in project: GE AvioAero’s (AVIO) is one out of two end users in the projects. Their contribution will be the definition of requirements and validation criteria and technical guidance on the use case during the developments. Their experience in the industry allows them to lead the validation and performance assessment task of the project and design and monitor the experiments needed for this. |

About TOFAS:
TOFAS (Türk Otomobil Fabrikası Anonim Şirketi) is a prominent Turkish automotive manufacturer. Established in 1968, TOFAS has played a pivotal role in Turkey’s automotive industry. Role in project: TOFAS Automobile will provide a use case for the project. They will guide the rest of the consortium for this use case definition and requirements extraction and help in the validation of the technologies. TOFAS leads the Communication and Dissemination activities of this project starting from the planning and keeping track of the project through its lifetime. |
